I haven’t blogged in an age. So  how about a give away to get back into and my first ever giveaway! More about that later.

Jennifer Wilson of Simple Scrapper has a new class coming up at Big Picture classes called “Before Your Story” -

A Simple Approach to Autobiographical Scrapbooking, from Birth to Adulthood.

It was Jennifer’s birthday this month and she has started to share 34 things about herself she wanted her daughter to know about her that she hadn’t included in the album she made as part of creating the class. We all have so many stories before the kids came along or the hubby, if you haven’t got round to the kids yet. You can read her post here  .

As part of this post she’s hosting a blog party with a chance to win a spot in her class so I decided to join in and created a layout to my younger self  with 34 things I’d like her to know.

It was a fun exercise and really got me thinking about some of the stories I want to get down on paper as part of the class. Yes I will be taking the class. I can’t wait. I’ve been sorting my pictures ready and trying to brain storm some stories I want to get down.

Check out the details about the class below. Make sure you watch the video. It really made me think.

About the Class

There are milestone events in life, such as marriage and motherhood, that divide us permanently into a “before” and an “after.” It’s easy to become so immersed in the after—the glorious here and now—that our “befores” rarely appear in our scrapbooks.

In this 6-week workshop with Jennifer Wilson of simplescrapper.com, you’ll have all the guidance you need to tell your growing-up story in one gorgeous 12″ x 12″ pocket album. Her class combines the ease of slipping photos and journaling cards into photo sleeves with the brilliance of Stacy Julian’s “Library of Memories” scrapbooking categories.

Jennifer excels at making big goals reachable and overwhelming projects finish-able, with her step-by-step processes and detailed planning worksheets. You’ll complete a simple, streamlined album that will help your spouse or partner catch up on the years leading up to the moment you met. Or, it’s the perfect answer to that age-old question, “Mom, what were you like when you were my age?”

Now the even better news is that Jennifer has allowed me to offer the chance of winning a spot in the class. Leave a comment on this post and I will randomly pick a week on February 26th 2014. So you can get registered in time for class to start on the 27th. If you also create your own list and go back to Jennifer’s blog post you will get another chance to win a spot. You don’t have to do a layout just create a list and share it. Simple. It also doesn’t have to be 34 items. It can be more or less. It can be a number that’s important to you.
